Later Saturday, I attended the Kempo Gathering that was arranged on Martialtalk. It was great to see the old friends and meet the new ones, putting faces to the names on the internet. I took a few photos, and I think this is a great start to improving kempo throughout New England.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dragon-Phoenix Martial Arts this past Saturday, where I attended a workout with Guro Dan Donzella. It was great to work on the stick and knife, and we covered a lot of ground. This was my second meeting with Guro Dan, and I enjoyed it even more than my first. He’s a great technician and a really nice guy. I recommend him highly. Thanks again to Master Jesse Dwire for his hospitality.

I’ve tinkered with the Mitose article, and added a statement from someone who travelled to see Shaka-In.
