Kempo Jutsu Kai – Pinion One

In a further attempt to share the forms I’m currently working on and teaching, here’s an old video of me doing Kempo Jutsu Pinion One. The ‘Pinion’ spelling is intentional, and it isn’t related to the Pinan series of Okinawan/Japanese Karate or the Pinan series of Shaolin Kempo. The video includes the front view at normal and slow speeds and then a slow speed walk through of the side view.

11 Hands of Buddha

The 11 hands of Buddha is a less frequently seen blocking system in Shaolin Kempo. It includes the cutting, pulling and redirecting blocks often seen in the more advanced combinations. Steve Castelli of Shaolin Self Defense Centers has created a pretty comprehensive playlist explaining and demonstrating the various elements of this blocking system.
