While testing the site, I found that the search function only included the posts. I found a plug-in that makes everything searchable – posts, pages, etc. Try it out. Search and find your favorite articles – not a lot of traffic there yet.
Kids Programs – and good press opportunities
A black belt through the school where I teach is teaching a kids program out of the local community center. She’s been teaching a kid’s program and a women’s kempo program out of Cape Cod Martial Arts Academy, but has branched out to an independent program. Do you teach kids? What is important for a kids program for you? By the way, for those of you starting a school, never underestimate the power of asking the folks at the local paper, “would you be interested in coming by”? Think front page, color photos. Hey everyone! I was looking on the net for shaolin kempo teachers in California and I thought why don’t all the Villari-Ussd breakoff schools get together once or twice a year and train, test,seminars,share marketing ideas. We could make it no monthly due fee’s or black belt manuals to buy, just pay for your test’s and seminars,training. Once you start nickel and dimeing people to death the greed just gets worse and your instructor’s leave and start there own organization.This what I believe happened to Ussd and Villari’s and countless other karate organizations.No head of the organization just shaolin kempo teachers getting together(no dictator telling us what to do)In the next year or so I will be opening my own Dojo even though I will be teaching Ed Parker’s kenpo I would like to add a Shaolin Kempo classes as well.What do you guys think?
My questions are: Can it be done? Not just in California, but nationwide? Worldwide?Should it be done?Somewhere between the Kajukenbo Hui and group meetings for agoraphobics.
