An unfortunate Kempo / Kajukenbo Chapter has come to a Close

I received a phone call yesterday, and saw an article posted by John Bishop, a noted martial arts writer and Kajukenbo practitioner. George Shimabuku was the killer of Joe Emperado in the 1958 bar fight that changed the course of Kajukenbo development and created a rift between different segments of the Kempo / Kajukenbo community at the time. George Shimabuku has died, closing a dark chapter in the history of Kempo / Kajukenbo.

Bronze Dragon Martial Arts demonstrates kempo techniques. Some of these are reminiscent of those from the Bryant / Nohelty Linneage of Shaolin Kempo.
