This weekend is the MDA Muscle Walk. I’m happy to report that my team will reach its goal, but I haven’t met my part of the goal. Unfortunately, the ‘Kempo’ support has been limited to three (awesome!) people who I know in real life. Please, if you like kempoinfo, if you think it’s useful, if you think assembling the archive took a lot of work, or just want to support a good cause: Donate now. Thanks.
Last Call for Muscular Dystrophy Donations

First, special thanks to Bob Sack my first (and therefore most awesome) donor who kicked off my fundraising way back when. Also to my long time student Russ (whose story is on here somewhere) and my training partner Brad Krum who is not only kind enough to donate, but also takes the time to punch me in the face.
Thanks to Joseph Catanese and James McKaskle as well. I’m almost at the goal set by my team, and I’m very grateful for your support. This isn’t an abstract charity or cause for me – we’re participating because of my daughter who has MD.
Last update: Our team raised about $4000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association – and won the ‘Team Spirit’ award for the walk! My Kempo friends accounted for about $206 of the tally – thank you! I promise not to bug you again (until next year’s walk). We were the highest fundraising team in Southeastern Mass, and the walk itself raised about $75,000 dollars. This money goes for research, for assisting families and individuals with Muscular Dystrophy, for events for people with Muscular Dystrophy, and even for sending kids to camp who otherwise wouldn’t be able to go due to the specialized nature of their condition. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I just like clicking the link to see my name…haahahaa. hope all is well. Cant wait for next year when you do a seminar at the dojo to help raise money for the event…
I like seeing your name there too. Many, many thanks, and yes I look forward to doing a seminar next year to raise the money – I’ll take any excuse to work with your folks. You’ve got great people.
