Some folks, using footage of Bryon Pence without his permission (note the correction) created a video ‘history’ of Shaolin Kempo with the help of Gikas Media(who certainly seem interested in Shaolin Kempo). Of course I was interested, but it left me with a question or two. So did they do their homework? Take a look and give your view. By the way, somebody at the media company seems to like their new mac. View after the jump.
The History of Kempo, the Movie?

My name is Bryon Pence I did not approve this video. This footage was taken by one of my old students who was experimenting with his new camera and editing equiptment. This footage by no means was intended to make a video or movie about the history of Kempo or to assume that I even know the REAL history of Kempo, it is footage of me working with some of my students in my basement. Unfortunatly this made it to the web. So going forward be careful who you let take any footage of you because you never know where it will end up, this is a perfect example.
Happens to the best of us. Heck, I don’t think I know the ‘REAL’ history of Kempo. Welcome to the site. I corrected the post.
video removed 🙁
Hi i am offended i trained in the kensho ryu system.maybe ur jealous. Paul is a great guy and teacher higly to be respected. I loved his kempo.
Hi Thomas. I approved your comment (as moderator) but am not sure what you are getting at. Bryon responded to the video, which was removed nine years ago. I’m not even sure which ‘Paul’ you are referring to. Is it Paul Parent? He’s a heck of a guy, and I’ve had great experiences training at events with and by him. I am not burdened by jealousy about anyone’s kempo. The existence of this site, and my poor job updating it lately should pretty well clarify that. Other than that, welcome aboard, and please look around. If you like kempo, you’ll probably find something you enjoy here.
