Hansuki

(Small Opening)

  • Attention Stance and Bow (Facing North)
  • Step out with right foot into a horse stance; double hammerfists down to opponent’s groins at the sides.
  • Step back up into attention stance with right foot. Left hand is placed over right fist (salutation). Inhale and bring hands to solar plexus. Using dynamic tension, push hands outward as you exhale. Repeat 3 times. (This series is adopted from James Mitose and added at some point)
  • Step out with right foot into a horse stance; double hammerfists down to opponent’s groins at the sides.
  • Left rising knifehand/claw rake to opponent at side (acts as a block to the punch and a strike to the face at the same time)
  • Step up 90 degrees with right foot (facing west), left hand rakes and pulls back to right shoulder, right uppercut to solar plexus.
  • Left outward backfist & snapback to left hammerfist to groin
  • Right punch to solar plexus
  • Left punch to solar plexus (double punch flexes and breaks the ribs of the opponent)
  • Right uppercut to solar plexus (left hand snaps back to right shoulder)
  • Left rising shuto/rake to face
  • Shift towards your left (your body is still facing west, shift is to the south) and drop into a wide kneel. Right inward parry and continue downward into a hammerfist to the side. Left hand stays at face as a check (Strike North)
  • Move left left up to the right leg into attention stance (facing North again). Stack hands on left hip
  • Right rising knifehand/claw rake to opponent at side (Acts as a block to the opponent’s punch and a strike to the face at the same time)
  • Step up 90 degrees with left foot (Facing East), right hand rakes and pulls back to left shoulder, left uppercut to solar plexus.
  • Right outward backfist & snapback to right hammerfist to groin
  • Left punch to solar plexus
  • Right punch to solar plexus
  • Left uppercut to solar plexus (right hand snaps back to left shoulder)
  • Right rising knifehand/claw rake to face
  • Shift towards the right (your body is still facing east, the shift is to the south) and drop into a wide kneel. Left inward parry and continue downward into a hammerfist to the side. Right hand stays at face as a check (Strike North)
  • Left foot cats back 180 degrees (Facing West) and steps out into left forward half moon stance. Hands stack on right hip. Left rising knifehand to philtrum, right spear to throat
  • Right foot cats back and then forward (Facing North) into a right forward half moon stance. Hands stack on left hip. Right rising knifehand to philtrum, left spear to throat
  • Left foot c-steps forward into a left forward half moon stance. Hands stack on left hip. Left rising knifehand to philtrum, right spear to throat
  • Left foot c-steps back into a horse stance (facing North) and X-block down
  • Right backfist to nose and snapback into hammerfist to groin
  • Left punch to solar plexus
  • Right punch to solar plexus
  • Left uppercut to solar plexus (right hand snaps back to left shoulder)
  • Right rising shuto/rake
  • Right foot cats back 45 degrees into a horse stance (Facing Northeast) X-block down
  • Right backfist to nose and snapback to hammerfist to groin
  • Shift forwards into a bow stance; Left punch (punching to NE)
  • Left foot cats back 90 degrees (Facing Northwest) into a horse stance and X-block down
  • Left backfist to nose and snapback to hammerfist to groin
  • Shift forwards into a bow stance; Right punch (punching to NW)
  • Cat back with right foot (Facing East) and step out into a right forward half moon stance. Mawashi Uke with right hand high
  • Left foot c-steps forward into a left forward half moon stance. Mawashi Uke with left hand high
  • Step through with right foot (Facing West) into a horse stance

 

The following5 moves are done as a “set”

  • Double punch to solar plexus
  • Double hammer to groin
  • Chamber both hands high and hammerfist to floating ribs
  • Double backfists
  • Double eyeflicks (Dragon Tail strikes)
  • Left foot pulls back (Facing Southwest) Left hand parries in and down, right two finger poke to eye
  • Left foot steps out into a left forward half moon stance, left outward knifehand to throat. Right front snap kick landing into a right forward half moon stance
  • Hands stack on left hip as left foot steps into a rear crossover stance. Right vertical outward block, left vertical punch (Towards South)
  • Right foot steps out (Facing Southeast) into a right forward bow, right vertical outward block, left punch (Towards Southeast)
  • Left foot cats back and out into left forward bow (Facing Northeast).
  • Right backfist to the temple and snaps back to a hammerfist to groin; right hand continues back and around (windmills) and right ridge to groin. Pull right hand to chamber and right tiger’s mouth to throat.
  • Shift to the right into a horse stance and left punch to solar plexus (right hand rips the throat as it comes back and you are punching).
  • Left foot cats back and steps out into a forward bow (Facing Northwest) left hand grabs groin, right hand is near face as a check. Right foot comes up next to left and left foot steps back as your left rips up high to your ear shifting into reverse bow, right chop to bladder
  • Right foot cats back as you right inward parry, and steps out into a forward bow (Facing Northeast) right hand grabs groin, left hand is near face as a check. Left foot comes up next to left and right foot steps back as your right rips up high to your ear shifting into reverse bow, left chop to bladder
  • Right foot back into a horse stance (Facing North), double hammers to opponent’s groins at the side
  • Step into attention stance
