Combinations 61-70

61 – As opponent attacks right foot steps forward into right side horse stance facing 12 o’clock, execute simultaneous left tiger’s mouth block and right ram’s head to groin. Execute right chicken wing strike to chin. Right hand grabs wrist and step, right-left, into horse stance facing 6 o’clock (straddling opponent’s leg), execute left rear elbow to solar-plexus. Left foot pivots counter clockwise into horse stance facing 3 o’clock, execute double tiger’s mouths, right hand to throat and left hand to back of neck. Finish by snapping opponent’s neck. 62 – As opponent attacks, execute double tiger’s mouth deflection of punch to the right with simultaneous front ball kick to the solar plexus. Right foot steps to the outside of opponent’s right foot into horse stance facing 9 o’clock and execute right ridge hand strike to the solar plexus. Left foot pivots counter clockwise into horse stance facing 3 o’clock, execute left side elbow strike to ribs. Finish with right inside circular downward elbow to base of neck. 63 – Left leg steps to 10:00 with a cw windmill block. The right hand extends the fingers to the eyes and the left hand pushes on the shoulder to turn the attacker slightly to the right. The right hand then reverses its motion into a tiger rake across the face with follow through into a right hammerfist to the kidney. The right legs steps ccw to 12:00 as the right hand does an upward rake from chin to forehead effectively snapping the head back with a simultaneous reverse knife or buhdda palm to the small of uke’s back. 64 – As opponent attacks, right foot steps in at 45 degree towards 2:30 o’clock, executes simultaneous circular right palm heel to chin (at 45 degree angle) and left knife hand block. Continuing motion execute right backhand followed by left palm heel to side of head as left foot steps into horse stance straddling opponent’s leg facing 4:30 o’clock. Execute right rear elbow to solar plexus followed by right chicken wing elbow to chin. Right scoop kick to groin, step forward towards 4:30 o’clock. 65 – (learned from Mattera) Left 1/2 moon stance, step out left foot while using tiger claws as a deflection (right low and left high near right shoulder). Right hand comes over opponents right arm, with raking motion over their face, left hand follows with raking motion over opponents face. Left hand quickly turns upward with upward rake up face(from chin up) followed by right hand palm strike to opponents jaw. Left hand rakes down opponents right arm followed by right hand rake down same arm while moving into a left cat stance. Move into a defensive tiger hand position.

65 – As opponent attacks, left foot steps in at 45 degrees towards 10:30 o’clock, execute a right tiger’s claw to face with left hand in check position. Right hand circles to outside, execute double tiger’s claws from left to right, to temple. Continue circular motion and execute simultaneous tiger’s claw, right hand to groin and left hand to face. Keeping left hand on face, right hand then executes a tiger’s mouth to the throat. Left leg stomp takedown to back of opponent’s right knee and throw opponent to ground. 66 – (learned from Mattera) Left 1/2 moon stance, step out right foot while using tiger claws as a block inside opponent’s right arm (left hand near wrist and right hand near bicep or shoulder). Right hand raking face followed by left hand. Left hand quickly turns upward with upward rake up face(from chin up) followed by right hand palm strike to opponents jaw. Right hand rake back down opponents face followed be left hand rake down opponents face while going into a right cat stance. Hands move into defensive tiger position with right hand being on top (on guard position).

66 – As opponent attacks, execute simultaneous left knife hand block and left side blade kick to knee. Left foot steps down next to right foot. Execute right snake kick to solar plexus and finish with left spinning back kick to solar plexus. (Courtesy of Ken Warner)

67 – As opponent attacks, left foot steps back into horse stance facing 9 o’clock and executes simultaneous left knife hand block and right downward hammer strike to wrist. Left spinning back kick to solar plexus stepping to outside of opponent’s right foot. As foot lands left hand covers face and execute right back two knuckle to chin following through. 68 – Start in a guard position, left half moon stance. As the punch comes in, perform a downward, inward block (like #4 but at a downward 45 degree angle). Left front / reverse crescent kick under the opponent’s arm to the opponent’s left side of the face. Place the foot down to the outside of the opponent’s lead foot, establishing contact to buckle the knee. Left forearm or outward knifehand to opponent’s neck. Left elbow to face, then extend the left arm to bridge and sweep the opponent. Use the right hand to check / monitor the opponent’s punching hand. 68 – As opponent attacks, left foot steps toward 10:30 o’clock and execute simultaneous left palm check of punch and right willow palm to solar plexus. Execute right circular back hand under arm to opponent’s right temple. Maintaining contact with opponent, right hand drops down opponent’s back to opponent’s right knee. Execute simultaneous left inverted palm to ribs with right hand scoop to opponent’s knee taking opponent to the ground. 69 – (very similar to 16) Palm trap with a right dragon stomp to the attacker’s right knee. land with your right leg towards 6:00. Step back with the left leg ccw into a side horse stance with an “L” lock on the arm for a takedown. Step back with the right leg cw into a side horse stance facing 3:00 bracing the arm against the left shin, which can be a break.(Courtesy of Marlon Wilson)

69 – As opponent attacks, right foot steps in towards 1:30 o’clock , execute double circular tiger’s claws (right to left motion) to temple using left hand as optional block. Continue circular motion and execute simultaneous tiger’s claws, right hand to face and left hand to groin. Left hand executes tiger’s mouth to throat as left leg flamingos and right hand returns to elbow position. Left side blade kick to back of opponent’s knee. Right hand willow palm to ear. Grab under chin with both hands attacking the pressure points. Right foot steps back towards 4:30 o’clock throwing opponent to ground. Finish with left front heel kick to head. 70 – Right foot steps forward at 45 degree angle towards 2:30 o’clock into right half moon stance, execute right palm block with simultaneous left tiger’s claw to face. Right hand executes cross hand tiger’s claw rake as left slides back and grabs wrist. Right hand continues circular motion and executes right arm lock. Left rising knee to ribs followed by left leg stomp to back of knee. Left hand palm heel to back of head. Grab head, pull back and finish technique with right shuto to the neck.
