Just wait – there’s a whole lot more coming. He was persistent.

ok, interesting approach. I didn’t do it that way in my Notebook. Now, you’ve made me go look. Ok, Kenpo NOtebook.. geesshh . it’s heavy. Oh.. first thing, handwritten “Honsuki”. Handwritten 4 and 5 Kata.. List of Forms…1-6, 1-5, Crane, 2 man, Honsuki, Sword, Bo, ….Combinations Numbered….ok, here we go.. I have what I was Instructed to be called “Kempo Punch Techniques”…I have 100 of them typed up here. But I just numbered them, 1, 2, 3.. etc and Typed in BOLD, CAPITAL, underlined print, at the beginning, some descriptive terminology (usually several words describing the Action) so I could identify it. Also, I put a “**[T]**” at the beginning of anyone which resulted in a Throw or a Takedown. As an example, here is a good straight forward one “4) **[T]** – “DBL SHUTO BLOCK – DBL SHUTO TO NECK – NECK TWIST”.
That probably doesn’t even need explaining.
Some I started to change with more “singular” descriptive headings such as “Crane Toss” or “Triple Ridgehand” or “Elbow Technique”. How did I ever remember all these?
I have 21 OH club, 10 side club, no make that 14, 20 knife, no 22, I even have 9 Slashing Knife… I didn’t know that. Geee.. now I’m interested in looking at those.
    So mine aren’t “lettered”.

The one that says “R- (Right) ………..” sounds to me like it is against a Left Punch. Am I mistaken or do you all think so as well?

Excuse me if I am mistaken, but wasn’t “Bob Fritz” one of Fred Villari’s top Masters years ago? Is this whose “writings” you are reproducing here, or is this another Bob Fritz?

  4. matt says:

Good catch. Yes the one that says ‘Right’ sounds like a left punch, as I have one just like it. We can probably ask Bob, as he just signed up for the forum.

It’s not ‘Master Fritz’ from the early Villari days. It’s another Bob Fritz.
