		<description>Matt, I agree completely!!  Kempo stances have always been taught to me as snapshots of movement.  I was taught to train them in order to be able to transit properly.  Everything starts with the root.
I am glad you posted this because perhaps my comments on balance (explained through the crane stance) may have given the wrong idea.  Once again, it seems we have parallelled each other even though our journey is different</description>
