Unfortunate News: Kalaii Griffin, R.I.P.

Postings on several Kenpo and Kajukenbo boards have announced the passing of GM Kalaii Griffin. He was a noted Kenpo and Kajukenbo man from Springfield, MA, and had been appointed to Sijo Adriano Emperado’s board of advisors for Kajukenbo. I’d like to offer my condolences to his family and students.

no words can describe grandmaster griffin or the things he did and how he did them. he touched many lives including mine. i was taught under him directly for 8 years of my life while growing up. he taught me self discipline, respect and gave me new outlooks on the world and my life. i looked at him as a second father. many ppl might say that, but i say it coming truly from my heart. R I P grandmaster griffin, i always looked up to u and i still will until the day i die.

He brought me in to an after party to meet Prince in the Worcester Marriot in the 80s. Nice man, a true gentleman. Sorry to learn of his passing.
